Ekundayo Igeleke
Facilitator of Sorrow to Joy
Ekundayo Igeleke is a hip hop creative and community educator who loves anime, vegan food, and spending time with friends and family in the community. He currently works with Resource Generation as a senior level director. Through his passion for hip hop music, Ekundayo will describe how this genre and its globalization has taken it to further heights over time. His focus is hip hop arts in juvenile prisons, the hip hop aesthetic with youth in alternative educational settings, and hip hop resistance. He will show how these three points combined with time have been integral for the creation of new generations of global scholars, citizens, and leaders. All of whom are able to overcome the various obstacles that they, their communities, and their countries face.
